Evaluation questions

Your evaluation needs to be prepared for the week beginning Monday 14th February 2011.

In your evaluation you need to answer the following questions:


1.In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

2.How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

3.What have you learned from your audience feedback?

4.How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Media Showcase

  • To be presented to an invited audience next Wednesday 9th Feb 2011 at 12.45 in MS1
  • Design your invites & questionnaires ready to give out at the showcase
  • Present your poster and magazine cover first

Amended deadlines due to SNOW!

We are now VERY pushed for time due to the snow.
The new deadlines are as follows:
Complete ALL editing by Friday 14th Jan 2011
Complete BOTH magazine front cover and film poster by Friday 21st Jan 2011.

Extra editing times - please meet Mr Varghese at the following times:

Group 1 (Sahar): Monday 1 & 2; Tuesday 3 & 4
Group 2 (Mehreen): Tuesday 3 & 4; Wed 5 & 6
Group 3 (Louise): Monday 3 & 4; Thursday 3 & 4 & Friday Period 6
Group 4 (Maria): Thursday 3 & 4 and Friday 1 & 2

A2 Media Studies: questions to consider for the evaluation

You need to be thinking about these questions all the time as they must be addressed in your evaluation.:

  1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
  2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
  3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?
  4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

These questions need to be answered in a formal or informal presentation to the whole class.
