The Mail had two stories in type waiting for the Knox verdict, complete with quotes but published wrong one first, via

This is an interesting example of how, in the age of online reporting and breaking news, websites can get things wrong in the rush to be the first to report.
The Mail wasn't the only paper to make a mistake. The Guardian had a live feed and also reported "Knox has lost her appeal". However, the translator actually said she was guilty of slander after initially blaming bar owner Patrick Lumumba for killing Ms Kercher.
If you read The Mail article on the link above it will give you an insight into the 'truth' of reporting. It states Knox is going to be put on suicide watch and the quotes are interesting. Finally on the 9th picture down there's a funny typo - calling the journalists 'media scum' instead of describing it as a 'media scrum'.
