Margaret Thatcher's Belgrano critic Diana Gould dies, aged 85
This is one of the best examples of Margaret Thatcher being floored by a member of the public. In May 1983, Diana Gould, a teacher from Cirencester in Gloucestershire, confronted the Prime Minister, on the current affairs television programme Nationwide, about the sinking of the Argentine warship General Belgrano during the Falklands War.
The encounter has since been rated by Radio Times readers as the ninth best interview of all time.
Mrs Gould died last week, aged 85.
It would be an interesting representation case study to compare the Thatcher you see in this clip to the Thatcher represented in 'The Iron Lady', a new film starring Meryl Streep.

Charlie Brooker holds a Black Mirror up to society - possible Postmodernism case study
Charlie Brooker (E4's Bafta-nominated Dead Set author) returns with Black Mirror, a new 3 x 60 minute scripted mini-series, commissioned by Head of Comedy Shane Allen and produced by comedy and drama producer Zeppotron.
Over the last ten years, technology has transformed almost every aspect of our lives before we've had time to stop and question it. In every home; on every desk; in every palm - a plasma screen; a monitor; a smartphone - a black mirror of our 21st Century existence. Our grip on reality is shifting. We worship at the altars of Google and Apple. Facebook algorithims know us more intimately than our own parents. We have access to all the information in the world, but no brainspace left to absorb anything longer than a 140-character tweet.
Black Mirror is a hybrid of The Twilight Zone and Tales of the Unexpected which taps into our contemporary unease about our modern world. The three stand-alone dramas will be sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales with a techno-paranoia bent - all audacious ‘what if' stories: some comic, some shocking.

Life's too Short - Postmodern text
Ricky Gervais' new comedy - Life's Too Short - is starting this Thursday 10th November 2011 on BBC2 at 9pm. This will be useful for you to watch in preparation for later in the year.
It is a classic postmodern text as it parodies the documentary style, is very self-referential and knowing, has celebrities mocking themselves etc. All the best parts of The Office and Extras combined and it's contemporary!
There is also 'The Making of...' on iPlayer at the moment which gives a good insight into what they want to achieve with the programme.
